Hi,

I intent to package your gfsecret software for Debian.

This ticket is to follow progress on packaging and if you have any comments, advice or anything about the packaging.

Best,
Thomas

Hey, thanks!

I can’t think of no comments or advice right now, but let me know if you run into any issue.

Since the last 0.4.4 release two years ago there have been a few commits in the master branch, so I will make a proper 0.4.5 release probably this week-end.

Just to be sure, what is the official release download URL? Files under https://incenp.org/files/softs/gfsecret/ or https://git.incenp.org/damien/gfsecret/releases?

Sorry for the issues spam, I'm reporting what lintian (the Debian tool for linting packaging) is complaining about. Feel free to prioritize as you wish the different issues. None of them are critical to Debian packaging

The “official” download URL for release X.Y.Z is of the form "https://incenp.org/files/softs/gfsecret/X.Y/gfsecret-X.Y.Z.tar.gz".

URLs starting with "https://git.incenp.org/" are tied to the forge that I am using now (Gitea) and could change without notice if I decide later to switch to another forge. By contrast I guarantee that the "https://incenp.org/files/..." URLs will always remain valid.

No worries about the “issues spam”. I’ll have a closer look at them in the following days.
